Our process.

From finding land, financing to home completion–our goal is to make the project seamless and easy so that you are just as thrilled with the process as you are the finished product.

New Era Homes manages every aspect of the home building process from start to finish. Well before breaking ground, we coordinate details like permitting, septic installation, well drilling and site development. We keep you informed throughout the process so that you can follow your home’s progress towards completion.

A New Era Home Pricing Model

Our Classic Edition homes offer more high quality standards than any other Bend area home builder in our price category. We believe you shouldn’t have to pay extra for features like garage man-doors, easy pull drawers, quality fixtures and appliances. These items and more come standard in every New Era Home.

The price point between our Classic and Premium Edition homes range from $105-$200 per square foot which is based on the choice of trim options. Trim options, which define each edition, are aesthetic preferences such as flooring style, lighting package, appliances, and carpentry detailing. The craftsmanship, workmanship and the inner-workings of your new home remain consistently top-notch regardless which edition you choose.

    A fully custom home includes the same unseen, but felt, Uncommon Standards that set New Era Homes apart from our competition. Although your greatest value is in one of our existing editions, you have complete freedom to customize your options. Price per square foot varies based on current material and labor costs.

Our competitors’ model.

Àla carte home builders advertise an artificially low cost per square foot. This is a very basic home with entry level products and code minimum building processes. Their goal is not to sell this loss leader but to garner sales traffic and upsell to increase margins. Once a homeowner adds a few basic options (something as simple as a forced air furnace with heat pump), the price quickly and dramatically escalates.

On the graph below, there is a noticeable gap between $100-$200. You can certainly reach $150/sq. ft. by adding overpriced options to an àla carte home, but why would you want to? Start out with a high quality New Era Home and if you decide to add options, your money goes exponentially farther.

Our greatest reward is from happy homeowners–not from marked up options. We believe the only surprises should be how much home you get for your money and how easy the process is.
